"..it's like a family reunion!" ~ Rider Comment
The Labor Day weekend marks the end of the racing season for UltraMidwest - we call it the Weekend of Racing and this year it is better than ever! We listened to you and we have fine tuned the course and reviewed the rules to make this weekend "the Racers Ride"!

The WOR consists of three separate contests, a 6 hour scramble - The Buffalo Bill Stampede, a 12 hour haul - Dawn 2 Dusk and the 24 hour race - The 24. All three are run simultaneously on the same three courses. The 24 is a UMCA UltraCup event, and has been a RAAM qualifier in past years.

Although the 24 cannot boast the largest field when it comes to 24 hour races we pride ourselves on being a Racer's Race. We pioneered pro-rating your last lap so you could rack up miles for the entire 24 hours. We try to make lap checkpoints as quick and painless as possible. And we have hosted some of the big names in Ultra - Paul Carpenter, Mike Trevino, Tom Buckley, Larry Ide, Dessa Paris, Kurt Searvogel, Caroline Van der Bulk,  Anne Woolridge, Dennis Grelk, Valerio Zamboni and Chris Hopkinson have all participated in the 24!

But it's also the fact that the 24 is as much a chance to revisit previous years events with old friends (and rivals) that make the Weekend of Racing the place to be on Labor Day weekend! Starting with our traditional pasta feed on Friday night (Catered by Fazoli's in recent years) and ending at sunrise on Sunday, it's a great time!
